Master and Commander

The film is full of action. It has a cast that works well together on the screen. The problem I had throughout the film was the action. Although, I'm sure it must have been difficult for sailors to see in hand to hand combat when ships are so close together and cannons are firing, I don't think it should be continually difficult for the viewer to tell which side one is viewing. My wife and I continually paused and backed up the movie trying to figure out which navy we were viewing at a given moment in the film. This difficulty was frustrating to us and dissuaded us from buying it.
